Philippians 2:12-13 ~ The Message Bible
What I’m getting at, friends, is that you should simply keep on doing what you’ve done from the beginning. When I was living among you, you lived in responsive obedience. Now that I’m separated from you, keep it up. Better yet, redouble your efforts. Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.
Everyday we need to remind ourselves that God is faithful and we are going to make it! This journey that we are on has twists and turns on every path. We are called to do our part and God promises to do His. Do you ever forget that we are in a battle? I forget that sometimes and I find myself wondering why life can be so difficult at times. The Lord told us to fight the good fight of faith. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus and wield the sword of the Spirit. This is the battle we are called to fight. Let's keep His Word on our lips and not on the battle at hand. His Word never fails!
