Sickness
Have you been told that this is it; there is nothing more to be done for you? Jesus says that by His wounds we are healed. 1 Peter 2:24
Jesus said, "The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." Luke 4:18-19
When He was beaten and hung on the cross He paid our penalty for sin. God is active all over the world healing people. Soon on this page, you'll be able to access testimonies from those who have been healed by God.
1. Sickness can result from the deterioration of our bodies or poor health. A medical check up by a good physician is advisable. Proper diet, adequate rest and plenty of exercise sometimes improves our health.
2. Sickness can be brought against us by Satan. Your enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
3. God can allow us to undergo sickness in order to test our faith (see the Book of Job in the Bible) or to work His perfect work in our lives.
It is important to examine our lives to see if we have any unconfessed sin before we pray for healing.
James 5:13-16
"Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
